Call Waiting, Intercom and Incoming Caller ID Options

One settings page on each number controls what happens when a second call arrives, the intercom, and the name your phone shows for incoming calls, including which of your numbers the caller dialled.

Open the settings

Go to Voice → Line Manager and click the number or extension. From the Incoming Calls menu, choose Caller ID, Call Waiting & Intercom. Save after making changes.

SettingWhat it does
Disable Call WaitingA second caller is not put through while you are on a call; they go to voicemail or your busy option instead. We recommend turning call waiting off on the phone itself, because this setting cannot see transferred calls.
Reverse answer modeChanges how incoming calls from mobiles are answered. Leave it off unless support suggests it.
IntercomLets someone in the same account and group dial *85 followed by this extension to reach it as an intercom call.
Reverse Whitepages Name LookupsLooks up the caller’s name from public listings. Experimental, and not always right.
Enforce Caller ID PrivacyHides the number of every incoming caller. Rarely wanted.
Incoming Call IdentifierText shown as the caller’s name on your phone, so you can tell which of your numbers was called, for example Sales or Support.
Distinctive Ring IdentifierA tag the phone can match to play a different ringtone. Internal calls only, unless you tick Apply Distinctive Ring to ALL calls.

Knowing which number a caller dialled

If you have several numbers ringing the same phones, set an Incoming Call Identifier on each number, such as Sales on one and Accounts on the other. The text appears on the phone or app as the call rings.

Good to know: For a different ringtone on internal calls, see Distinctive Ring for Internal Calls.
