Line Profiles: Time Zone, Connection Type and Line-Wide Settings

A profile is a set of settings shared by lines: how a phone connects, its time zone, caller ID and which calls are blocked. Every line uses the Default profile unless you give it another.

Check your time zone

New accounts start on Australia, Brisbane time. That is right for Queensland. Brisbane has no daylight saving, so if you are in New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT, Tasmania, South Australia, the Northern Territory or Western Australia, change it to your own city.

Go to Voice → Profiles, choose your city under Time Zone, such as Australia, Sydney, Australia, Adelaide or Australia, Perth, and click Save.

Every time schedule (work hours, after hours, holidays) runs on this time zone, and public holidays are left out of work hours automatically only for a New Zealand time zone. If it is wrong, calls are routed as if you open and close at the wrong time.

More than one profile

Click Create New Profile to make another, for example one for desk phones and one for a PBX trunk. Then choose the profile for each line in Voice → Line Manager. New lines use the Default profile.

Good to know: Settings on a single number’s call flow, such as its own call barring or recording, apply to that number on top of its profile.
