Your Portal Password and Your Phone Passwords
Click2Call uses two kinds of password: the one you log in to the portal with, and a separate password for each phone number and extension, which your apps and desk phones use. Changing one can change the other, so read this before you change your portal password.

The two kinds of password
| Password | What uses it | Where to change it |
|---|---|---|
| Portal login | You, signing in at portal.click2call.com.au | Account → Details → Change Password |
| Phone password | Apps, desk phones and PBXs, which log in with the number and this password | Voice → Line Manager (numbers) or Voice → User Extensions (extensions) |
Staff who have their own portal login have their own password too. Manage those under Account → Logins.
Before you change your portal password
On Account → Details, the Change Account Password section asks where to apply the password change. It starts on Account login and all non-restricted phone number passwords.
If you leave that selected, your phones get the new password too, and every app and desk phone on the account stops working until you enter the new password on each one.
To change only your portal password, choose Account login only — do not change phone number passwords.
Passwords need at least 8 characters, with uppercase and lowercase letters and a number. Allowed symbols are ! @ _ - # ? = * + : ; ..
Change one phone’s password
- A phone number: go to Voice → Line Manager, type the new password in the number’s Password column, and click Save Changes.
- An extension: go to Voice → User Extensions, open the extension, enter a new password (or click Generate a random password), and click Update Extension.
Then enter the new password in the app or phone that uses that number. The username stays the same: the number exactly as Line Manager shows it.
