Keeping Calls Coming In During an Outage

Your phones need power and internet to work. If either goes down, Click2Call can still answer your calls and send them to a mobile or another number, because your phone system runs in the cloud, not in your office.

Forward calls when your phones are offline

  1. Go to Voice → Line Manager and click your main number.
  2. From Incoming Calls, choose Call Forwarding.
  3. Turn on Forward when Offline and enter your mobile number.
  4. Save.

Now, if your phones lose power or internet, callers are sent to your mobile instead of hearing nothing.

Ring a mobile at the same time

Another option is a ring group that rings your mobile along with your desk phones. Calls reach you wherever you are, whether or not the office is online.

If your own phone system (PBX) fails

If you connect your own PBX with a SIP trunk, set call forwarding on the trunk's main number the same way. If the PBX stops answering or goes offline, calls go to the numbers you've chosen. See Connecting your own PBX with a SIP trunk.

Voicemail still works

Voicemail runs in the cloud too. If nobody answers, callers can leave a message and you'll get it by email.
