Setting Up Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise H and M Series Phones

Click2Call auto-provisions Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise H3, H6, M3, M5, M7 and M8 phones. Provisioning keeps the firmware up to date and sets up your lines, line keys and phonebook. The phone must be on the latest firmware, which provisioning installs for you on the first run.

Step 1: find the phone's address and MAC

On the phone's keypad menu, open Network Status to find its IP address. Enter it in a browser and log in as admin (default password 123456). Copy the MAC address from Status → Network.

Step 2: add the phone in the portal

  1. Go to Voice → Phones and click Add a new phone.
  2. Choose Alcatel-Lucent and your model (for example H3G) as the Phone Type.
  3. Paste the MAC address, choose the numbers for each line and set up any line keys. See Programming phone keys.
  4. Save the phone.

Step 3: point the phone at the provisioning server

In the phone's web interface, open Provision → Auto Provision. Enter http://al.securevoip.nz in the DM URL field and click Submit. Then click Auto Provision Now.

If the phone needs new firmware, it upgrades and restarts. Wait for it to finish.

Step 4: provision securely

Log back in and open Auto Provision again. The address should now read https://al.securevoip.nz. Click Auto Provision Now once more. After a couple of minutes the phone is set up and ready.

The phone's admin password changes to the one set in the portal after provisioning.
