Your business number, $10 a month
Click2Call starts at $10 a month (ex GST) for an Australian business number, with unlimited incoming calls and every Cloud PBX feature. Your whole team can answer and call from it on free extensions, and you pay only for the calls you make: 10c a minute to landlines and 20c to mobiles. If you make a lot of calls, a $25 Cloud PBX User includes 300 outbound minutes. The business phone numbers page compares local, 04 mobile, 1300 and 1800 numbers. No lock-in contracts, no hidden fees and no hardware required. 7-day free trial with $11 credit.
No credit card required to sign up · $11 credit included
Key Takeaways
- $10 per business number / month (ex GST) — unlimited incoming calls, every feature and free internal extensions for your whole team, who answer and call out showing the number. Calls out cost 10c a minute to landlines and 20c to mobiles. Most people start here.
- $25 per user / month (ex GST) — a local number with 300 outbound minutes included. Cheaper than paying per call once you make more than about 75 minutes of calls to mobiles a month (or about 150 to landlines). Switch a number between plans yourself in the portal at any time.
- Business SMS — send and receive texts on an Australian mobile number on your account: a new mobile number is a one-off $50 inc GST allocation fee, then $10/month, or port your own ($100 inc GST, then $10/month). Texts are 20c each (ex GST); replies appear in the portal and are emailed to you.
- $100 per number to port (inc GST) — charged once, whatever the number type. Mobile porting depends on your current carrier releasing the number. A new 1300 or 1800 number has the same one-off $100 inc GST as an allocation fee; a new 04 mobile number is $50 inc GST; new local numbers are free to add.
- Prepaid, so no bills or contracts — you add credit first (from $10) and your monthly fees and calls come out of it. Turn on auto top-up so it never runs out.
- No lock-in contracts — no hidden fees, no hardware to buy and no technician visit.
Two plans, no tiers
Start with a $10 number. Add minutes only if you need them.
You don't need to pick a plan to start your trial: your $11 credit covers your first number. You can switch any number between the two plans yourself in the portal, so you don't have to get it right on day one.

Most businesses take one $10 Business Number and give every staff member a free internal extension. Calls to the number ring your team, everyone calls out showing the business number, and calls out cost 10c a minute to landlines and 20c to mobiles. Most of our $10 customers spend under $5 a month on calls. Extensions have no public number of their own.
If you make more than about 75 minutes of calls to mobiles a month (or about 150 minutes to landlines), a $25 Cloud PBX User works out cheaper, because 300 minutes are included. Switch a number between the two plans yourself in the portal under Account → Numbers → Edit this number. Every Cloud PBX feature is included with both plans, and 1300 and 1800 numbers receive calls only. Your account can have 2 calls going at once; extra channels are $3 a month each.
Switching from your current system
- Keep your existing number
- Your number keeps working until it moves
- Your current system stays active during the switch
- Use your current phones (if compatible)
- Setup in 1–2 days · port completes in 5–10 business days
Each number you bring across needs its own plan: a $10 Business Number, or a $25 Cloud PBX User if you want 300 outbound minutes included.

How paying works
Prepaid: no bills, no contract, no surprises
Click2Call works like a prepaid phone. You add credit first, and your monthly fees and calls come out of it. You only ever spend what you’ve loaded, and you can stop at any time.
Add credit
Top up by card in the portal, from $10. Your free trial starts with $11 already loaded.
Fees and calls come out of it
Your number’s monthly fee and any calls out are taken from your credit. Your balance is always shown in the portal.
Turn on auto top-up
Save a card and credit is added automatically when it runs low, with a warning email at an amount you choose. How to set it up.
Keep your account in credit. If it runs out, incoming calls keep working and calls out pause until you top up.

Every new account is independently verified before it's activated, usually within the hour, longer after hours.

Many businesses keep the $10 Inbound Number permanently for reception routing, then add Cloud PBX User plans ($25/month each) for staff who need to make outbound calls. Read the full free trial guide →

What’s included
Same phone system on both plans. Only calls out are different.
Every number comes with the whole phone system and the AI features. The only thing you’re choosing is how you pay for the calls you make.

|---|---|---|
| Your business number and unlimited incoming calls | ✓ | ✓ |
| A phone menu (“press 1 for sales”), calls that ring your whole team, voicemail sent to your email | ✓ | ✓ |

If you’ll make more than about an hour of calls to mobiles a month, the $25 plan is cheaper (the exact break-even is about 75 minutes to mobiles, or 150 to landlines). Prefer to call from your own mobile? Take the $10 plan and keep doing that; your customers will see your mobile number instead of your business number.
What every number includes
A proper business phone system
A phone menu, calls that ring your whole team, voicemail to email, call queues and a live dashboard. It works in the app on your mobile or computer, or on a desk phone.
Learn more →An AI receptionist
Answers when you can’t, day or night, in a natural voice. It puts callers through or takes a message and emails it to you.
Learn more →Every call written down
Calls are recorded, transcribed and summarised in plain English, so you can see what was said without listening back.
Learn more →Also available: Microsoft Teams calling ($25 per Teams user, because a $10 number can’t be used in Teams), SIP trunks for an existing phone system, and a developer API included free on every account.

How Much Does a Hosted PBX Cost in Australia?
With Click2Call, a hosted (cloud) PBX costs $25 per user per month ex GST, and that is the whole monthly price for most businesses: the local number, 300 outbound minutes, unlimited inbound calls, IVR, ring groups, call queues, call recording and AI transcription are all in it. There is no base fee, no per-feature licence and no minimum number of users. Many teams spend less: one $10 business number with a free extension for each person, paying 10c a minute to landlines and 20c to mobiles for calls out.
| Team size | Per month ex GST | Per month inc GST | Outbound minutes (per user) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 user | $25 | $27.50 | 300 min each |
| 3 users | $75 | $82.50 | 300 min each |
| 5 users | $125 | $137.50 | 300 min each |
| 10 users | $250 | $275.00 | 300 min each |
| 20 users | $500 | $550.00 | 300 min each |
Add $10 ex GST a month for each extra inbound number (a shared reception line, a 1300 or an 1800). A new 1300 or 1800 number also has a one-off $100 inc GST allocation fee. Each user’s 300 minutes are attached to that user’s number — they are not pooled across the account. Build your own estimate in the calculator →
What does it cost to migrate from an on-premise PBX to the cloud?
Usually only the porting fee. One-off costs, all optional except porting:
- Number porting: $100 including GST per number, any type. Your number keeps working during the 5–10 business days it takes.
- Setup: free if you do it yourself with the help guides; managed setup is $300 ex GST for up to 3 users, then $50 per extra user.
- Handsets: optional. The softphone app is free; pre-configured Yealink desk phones are $450 and cordless $400 ex GST, posted ready to plug in.
- Nothing else: no line rental, no PBX maintenance contract, no technician call-outs.
1300 and 1800 numbers can take up to 30 days to port. Each number you bring across then runs on its own plan ($10/month as an inbound number).
What do calls cost beyond the 300 minutes?
Calls to Australian and New Zealand numbers past the allowance are charged per minute — 10c a minute to landlines and 20c a minute to mobiles, ex GST. Calling a 1300 number is a flat 50c connection fee. If you hold a 1300 or 1800 number, inbound calls to it are 20c a minute to your account; inbound calls to local numbers are free.
Is there a cheaper VoIP-only or basic plan?
There is no stripped-down tier, because nothing is held back from the $25 user. Two things are cheaper because they do less: an Inbound Business Number at $10 a month receives calls and runs a call flow, with no included minutes (your extensions can still call out on it at standard rates), and if you already own a PBX, a SIP trunk at $50 a month supplies the lines without the phone system.
How your minutes and credit work day to day
Calls you answer are free when they ring on Click2Call itself: in the Secure VoIP app, a softphone or a desk phone, incoming calls to your local numbers don’t touch your minutes or your credit.
Forwarding to a mobile works differently. The call leaves our platform, so the leg out to the mobile is billed as an outbound call from the number that forwards it. On a Cloud PBX User number it comes out of that number’s 300 minutes first, then costs 20c a minute. An Inbound Business Number has no included minutes, so forwarded calls are charged per minute from the start. If most of your calls will be answered away from the office, answering them in the app keeps them free.
There is no unlimited plan. Each user’s 300 minutes belong to that user’s number, and calls past them are 10c a minute to landlines and 20c to mobiles.
Because Click2Call is prepaid, the monthly fees and any extra calls come out of your credit. Turn on auto top-up and credit is added automatically when the balance runs low, and set a low-credit warning email for an amount you choose. If credit does run out, incoming calls keep working; outgoing calls stop once the balance goes below −$5 and start again as soon as you add credit. How to add credit and set up auto top-up →
Two worked examples
- One user with a Melbourne 03 number and a 1300 number: $25 for the user (the 03 number is included) plus $10 for the 1300 is $35 a month ex GST, $38.50 inc GST, plus 20c a minute for calls into the 1300, and a one-off $100 inc GST allocation fee if the 1300 number is new. Adding a Sydney 02 number later is another $10 ex GST a month, and all three numbers sit in the same system.
- Five users sharing one practice number, with managed setup: five users at $25 plus $10 for the shared number is $135 a month ex GST, $148.50 inc GST. Managed setup is $300 for the first three users plus $50 each for the other two: $400 ex GST, $440 inc GST, once.
The quote builder works out any other combination, with GST.
