Calling Through Your Business Number While Away

Remote dial tone and remote call back let you make calls through your Click2Call number from another phone, such as your mobile. The person you call sees your business number, and the call is charged to your Click2Call account at its normal rates instead of your mobile plan.

Remote dial tone

You call your business number, enter a PIN, and get a dial tone to call out.

Set it up

  1. Go to Voice → Line Manager, click the number, and choose Other Settings → Remote Dial Tone.
  2. Tick Enable remote dial tone service.
  3. Choose whether only listed numbers or all callers get dial tone. Listing your mobile is safest.
  4. Enter your phone numbers, one per line with area code.
  5. Set a PIN. The service doesn't work without one.
  6. Save.

Use it

Call your business number from a listed phone, enter your PIN, wait for the dial tone and dial.

Remote call back

You call your business number and hang up when it rings. Click2Call calls you back with a dial tone. This saves the cost of your outgoing call, which helps when you're overseas.

Set it up

  1. Open the number and choose Other Settings → Remote Call Back.
  2. Tick Enable remote call back service.
  3. Choose selected callers or all callers. A PIN is required if you allow all callers.
  4. List the numbers to call back, one per line with area code.
  5. Optionally set a delay before the call back, or a fixed number to always call back.
  6. Save.

Keep it secure

These features place calls billed to your account. Always set a PIN, list only your own numbers, and turn the feature off when you don't need it. See Stopping ghost and spam calls for more security tips.
