Connecting Asterisk or FreePBX (PJSIP)

Asterisk and systems built on it (FreePBX, Issabel and similar) connect to Click2Call as a Registered SIP Trunk using the PJSIP channel driver. Set up the trunk in the portal first — see Connecting Your Own PBX with a SIP Trunk — then add the configuration below.

Before you start

You need your pilot number exactly as shown in Voice → Line Manager (e.g. 61370500989) and the line password set on that row. In the examples, replace PILOTNUMBER and LINEPASSWORD with yours.

Example: pjsip.conf over UDP

[transport-udp]
type=transport
protocol=udp
bind=0.0.0.0

[click2call-reg]
type=registration
outbound_auth=click2call-auth
server_uri=sip:sip.click2call.com.au
client_uri=sip:[email protected]
retry_interval=60

[click2call-auth]
type=auth
auth_type=userpass
username=PILOTNUMBER
password=LINEPASSWORD

[click2call]
type=aor
contact=sip:sip.click2call.com.au:5060

[click2call]
type=endpoint
context=from-external
disallow=all
allow=g722,alaw,ulaw
outbound_auth=click2call-auth
aors=click2call
from_user=PILOTNUMBER

[click2call]
type=identify
endpoint=click2call
match=sip.click2call.com.au

Example: pjsip.conf over TLS (recommended)

Use a TLS transport and port 5061. Everything else is the same as the UDP example.

[transport-tls]
type=transport
protocol=tls
bind=0.0.0.0:5061
method=tlsv1_2

[click2call]
type=aor
contact=sip:sip.click2call.com.au:5061;transport=tls

FreePBX

In FreePBX, go to Connectivity → Trunks → Add Trunk → Add SIP (chan_pjsip) Trunk and enter the same values: username and authentication username = pilot number, secret = line password, SIP server = sip.click2call.com.au, port 5060 (or 5061 with TLS), registration = Send. Codecs: G.722, then G.711 A-law, then G.711 µ-law. Set your inbound routes against the DDI numbers.
